Helmet for the joust, Dresden c. 1580
The confusion of the second world war with its tremendous destructions led to the deletion of innumerable important cultural assets that are irretrievably lost. However sometimes there occur small miracles: This helmet for the joust that was thought
to be missing could be identified in a Berlin art collection after more than 70 years!
Currently there are conservational measures in progress and further research for this object undertaken.
